Living on an Island, I found it natural to take photos involving the Sea and Beaches.
Since quite a while, I had the idea of a Mermaid themed Photo-Shooting. Also, I wanted no usual fish tail, and not the mainstream look with scales and blueish makeup. I wanted to stick with the Legend, Mermaids coming to Land are changing to Humans. So I chose gold and earthy colors for makeup and tail.
It's been not easy to find a model, who would actually brave the cold water, but Manuela, whose 21st Birthday I recently shot, was keen.
Manuela was gorgeous and Harvi did an amazing job with the makeup.
Here the results, enjoy...
A few days ago I had the pleasure to do a Photo-Shoot with Arelle and Jyselle Hug - and Chichi the dog.
One of those days to capture the real Summer Spirit.
My friend Manuela turned 21 today, she had her Party on Saturday 21th of January, so I got my camera ready ...
Those are just a few of those shots, it has been really fun shooting this.
Finally Summer arrived - at least for a day - so we decided to make the best of the Sunshine and take some Photos.
Model: Cate Emsley
I neglected my Landscape photography a bit lately, so I decided to do some again.
Here some results...
A Photoshoot from a few days ago, with the gorgeous Lilli Viner-Benge.
It was a relaxed, fun shooting, but rather cold and windy. More to come when it gets warmer here again.
In this profession one always makes new friends.
I learned to know Kate over a Facebook call for a Photographer to shoot some special photos, All around Wellington.
There will be one more part which involves some special light, we didn't manage to get this on out first shooting day.
Here what we came up with so far...
Model: Kate Freya
Agency: Voda Model Management
Today I found out, I still can do landscapes :-)
After 2 awesome shootings with 2 awesome models today (and 1100 pictures later), I came across that view on my way home, Island Bay, Wellington.
Not equipped for pano at all, I just got 25 handheld shots in portrait mode and did some stitching... Not too bad :-)
Second Part of our Project...
Many thanks to Eva McGauley and her friends and family to help and model, to Sophia Sparks for organizing and being Art Director and Mira-Grace Krishnan for Makeup.
All of you were awesome and it's a pleasure to work with you.
Thank you for making this possible... xx
