On Monday evening we had some surreal weather passing over Wellington. When I came out of the workshop, I saw a huge black wall of clouds rolling in from the South.
Unfortunately this was already just after sunset, and driving home, getting my gear and driving to a good location took me some more time.
I ended up on Mount Victoria, around 8 PM, the sun well under the horizon and the clouds covered most of Wellington. OK, only thing I could do was setting up and try, despite strong winds and rain!
This is a panorama of 8 images in portrait orientation, each image had an exposure of 4 seconds, the lens I used is a Tamron 24-70 mm F2.8, the camera a Canon EOD 6d M1.
The details in the foreground are surprisingly good, despite the wind.
Of course this one is available as a printed version.
