... Well, it actually depends. Where I come from, it should actually look like this right now. Though, Winter in Europe isn't what it used to be 20-30 years ago. Back when I was young, we often had first snows in October, right through February or even longer.
I literally watched this shifting. Now it starts snowing at the end of November, thaws up around Christmas and stays pretty rainy and muddy all January. Sometimes it picks up in February again, sometimes not. It's generally 5-10 degrees warmer than it should be and the whole "Winter" shifted by 4-6 weeks. And no, I don't believe this is just a natural cycle. Those shifts do happen naturally, but over a period of centuries or longer, not within just 30 years...
