Here a selection of "composite" images. I know I posted some of those before, but thought I might just add them as a dedicated post.
Working with sophisticated image editing software is a skill, similar to working in a darkroom back in the day. In fact, all one can do in programs like Photoshop, DxO, Gimp etc, has its origins in a physical darkroom. Photo editing is sometimes viewed as "cheating". I disagree with that. First, the way a camera sees, is very different to the way a human eye sees. Second, the camera does editing on its own, within it's operating system, or, back in the day, developing photographs was editing, by choice of film, paper, chemicals, negative exposure etc. There has never been any "unedited" photograph, not ever. Though, composites are a different story, reaching into the realm of fantasy, showing things, physically impossible. Not too different from special effects in movies. The real art is, to make it look real, get the onlooker to think and to ask "how did they do it?" Enjoy
