Yesterday I was driving back from Miramar towards Oriental Bay, Wellington, about 10 AM. The Sun was shining - well, still - and clouds moving in from North - West. With the sun still low, those clouds looked pretty dramatic, and I just pulled over, found a car park and fetched my camera. The first image was taken only minutes before the rain hit the spot, then passed, and showed a double rainbow on the other side, right behind me, showing in the second image. You can actually see rain drops passing through the rainbow, pretty much on the top of it. This shows, such a rainbow can be much closer than we perceive it.
After this, the weather turned pretty fast, rain on and off for the rest of the day. All my images are up for sale, please contact me if you are interested.
