One of those sleepless nights, after editing photos for hours and then doing accounting etc for my business, I was just too wide awake to go to sleep. So I decided, I can as well get out and see if there is anything worth shooting.
First stop, 5:30 AM, Wainuiomata lookout, hoping for a sunrise - rather disappointing though as it was overcast and smelled of rain. Second stop then, 5:50 AM, Petone Wharf. At least I got some nice shot down there. I'm still not sure if I prefer color or monochrome though. Next part of the experiment. This is a Panorama of 10 shots. Been lucky with the perfect lighting and how the sun star turned out in the panorama processing.
Experimenting with wise angle lenses and camera just millimeters from the ground.
This is a panorama stitch from 9 single images. |
