It's rainy and moody in Wellington on Easter Sunday - Means I could work on some of my yet unpublished archive photos.
Those have been shot with a much shorter lens than my usual waves, 70-300 mm compared to 150-600 mm. This means I had to get much closer to the actual action, about half the distance, compared to my more recent ones! Development, two photos merge to an entirely new image...
From a snowy Wellington landscape (rare enough) and a lovely White German Shepherd named Stella, to Direwolf Ghost, North of the Great Wall in Game of Thrones! Btw, the pic of original Stella isn't a double up, but two different images of the same photo. If you look closely, you see the stick we used to get her snap, covering her face, the second version shows her after I "reconstructed" that part. Ongoing work, finalizing some more portraits from our GTC-Mystery Tour, with The Fashion Creative Collaborative Group New Zealand

Fascination with water (and sometimes getting splashed on) Though today was a picture perfect day!
Sunshine, some wind and surf on the South Coast, perfect for a walk with two cameras - oh well... Here some more images from last Friday, 05/04/19, being out in the elements on Wellington's South Coast, Island Bay!
As mentioned in my last post, this is the second triple set of photos. They have been taken from a different perspective, closer to Island Bay, focusing on the waves rather than the misty rocks. Actually it's one wave in three different stages, pretty quick shooting in succession. More to come... Last Friday, 05/04/19, we had a pretty nice storm again, and yes, of course I was on the South Coast for it, Island Bay to be exact.
This will be two sets, this one with more distance, to get the misty, sort of mystical mood, later there will be a series of close-ups, so check on here soon... More photos from our GTC event 2019!

No storm, no rain (at that moment at least), just walking around enjoying nature and getting a few snaps...
This year's event was moved indoors to some extent, due to recent events and safety concerns.
Still, Cuba Street was buzzing with activity, music, food, dance and perfect weather... I was around for about 8 hours, taking photos in and out, many thanks to the 888 Band, Chooky's Pub & Pantry, Eva Beva, Cuba Barbers, Jack Hacket's and all of Cuba Dupa in general! |
