Visions of Wellington

After quite a while, I have an exhibition on again, at Artspace, Petone, Wellington - the place where I had my very first exhibition.

Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery is proud to host another exhibition by photographer, Werner Kaffl with his unique photography of Wellington.

Arriving in New Zealand, in 2010, from his homeland of Germany, Werner was instantly captivated by his adopted country's unique landscape and lighting and was blown away by the beauty that surrounds him. "Colours are so much stronger here than in Europe".

He is thoroughly enjoying his creative journey and is constantly discovering and capturing new and interesting perspectives of Wellington for viewers to enjoy. He loves living his vision, which he claims should be taken literally! ''I love to allow others to see New Zealand's natural beauty through my pictures. and let them enjoy “my world” through my eyes.''

With his parents also being photographers, Werner grew up in a family that appreciated art and supported his passion for capturing the “perfect moment”.

Discover what else is new on display in the various exhibition rooms at the gallery. In addition to regularly changing feature exhibitions, Artspace Gallery exhibits all genre of art by over 300 local and nationwide artists. The gallery also offers a huge range of unique locally made creative gifts and art classes.
